What makes this place even more unique and special is that the working techniques of tanners never change, the technique used to date entirely artisanal. Visitors can enter one of the shops and climb to the rooftop terrace for a fascinating panoramic view of the medina in the background. But many traders distribute mint branches, customers must cover their nose to breathe as with a gas mask (because of the slightly unpleasant smell).
