An excursion from Marrakech to Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital and largest city. An opportunity to visit Morocco's most emblematic sites during your day trip. You'll have the chance to immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of this beautiful city as you explore its monuments and history, particularly the Hassan II Mosque, as well as the modern infrastructure.
Program:
After a 3-hour freeway journey to Casablanca, the tour of this metropolis begins with a visit to the famous Habous district. Inspired by the architecture of Morocco's medinas and souks, this district is home to a number of historic buildings, including the city's old courthouse, whose architecture is remarkable and unique.
The tour continues to the Notre Dames de Louvre parish church, built in 1954, before taking a panoramic bus tour to discover the whole of the White City and its places of interest, such as the Place des Nations Unies, the Jewish quarter in Anfa and the chic “Maarif” and “California” districts. The panoramic tour ends at the Hassan 2 Mosque, which you visit with a mosque guide.
After lunch, we offer free time on the Ain Diab corniche or in Africa's biggest mall, the Morocco Mall.

The Hassan 2 mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world with a record minaret of 210 meters in height. It is a religious and cultural complex, spread over nine hectares and includes a prayer hall, ablution room, baths, a Koranic school (madrasa), a library, a museum and an Academy of traditional arts. It is partly erected on the sea, its foundations are spread over 7 years and required 26,000 m3 of concrete and 60,000 m3 of riprap. The entire work mobilized around 10,000 workers and artisans working over 80 million hours of work. Craftsmen recruited from all the cities of the kingdom had carved 53,000 m2 of wood and assembled more than 10,000 m2 of zellige (ceramics)… Guided tour of the mosque.
The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes is a Catholic parish church, it was built in 1954 and is the second church in Casablanca after the Church of the Sacred Heart which is no longer used for worship today. Our Lady of Lourdes attracts many visitors thanks to its modern architecture and its spectacular stained glass windows of the Virgin Mary, the work of Gabriel Loire, a famous French artist.
