How’s Marrakech Weather and Climate?

This is one of the most asked questions by travelers and tourists who want to visit Morocco / Marrakech throughout the year. So if you want to know, you came to the right place.

Knowing the weather of the city / Country you’re traveling to is as important as every other detail of your trip planning. Based on that information, you’ll pack your clothes and choose the right month or season for you, and you’ll plan what to do during your journey.

Marrakech is a city situated in the South West of Morocco, it  has a relatively dry climate, so that makes the weather warm almost all year round, and in Summer time, the temperature often exceeds 36°C. There is a large temperature difference between day and night.

Southerly winds blow from the High Atlas Mountains, the highest point at 4,167 meters above sea level, Jebel Toubkal, causing temperatures to rise sharply.

The Weather in December - February:

This period of the year is the coldest in Marrakech, sometimes it gets warm or mild during the day but the nights are always colder, the temperature quite often drops below 5 °C (41 °F), so make sure to pack warm clothes.
