Description

The closest desert to Marrakech is located in the Zagora region next to a huge palm grove, to get there you have to cross the mountains to the other side of the Atlas. An itinerary filled with plenty of panoramic landscapes.

Day 1 - 355 km:
Departure in the morning to the Zagora city, located about 8 hours drive from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi N'Tichka pass, this one is considered among the highest peaks of this majestic mountain range with 2.260m high. You make a stop in this pass to admire the landscapes of the Atlas then you continue to the Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou which we will visit, it is declared as an international heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

Free time for lunch in Ait Ben-Haddou village, then you continue to the bivouac installed in the Tizi Desert, at the end of the paved road you replace the bus with camels to reach the bivouac. Get settled into your private tent and enjoy some free time to explore the surrounding desert landscape. Dinner will be served under the stars while your nomad hosts entertain you around a campfire to the rhythm of their tamtam drums.

Day 2 - 355 km:
Wake up early to experience the magic of the desert sunrise (optional). Then, enjoy breakfast before getting back in the saddle of your camel for the ride back to the main road.
Here your minibus will be waiting to take you back to Marrakech, where you will arrive around 6 p.m.
