This circuit for destination the desert of Merzouga is designed for people who don't want to do a lot of road and their objective is to discover quite deeply this region which is on the other side of the Atlas which endows with a cultural richness and very important heritage in addition to beautiful landscapes...
Day 1 - 330 km:
The road to Merzouga is done through Boumalne Dades which is the first stage of this circuit towards the large dunes. After a 2 hour drive in the High Atlas Mountains, you make a stop in the Tizi N'Tichka pass, it is one of the highest peaks in the Atlas with 2,260 meters in height, then you continue directly towards Ouarzazate city where you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, a 17th century kasbah built in the form of a labyrinth to ensure the protection of the Pasha and the caravans passing through Ouarzazate.
After lunch in Ouarzazate, you take the bus back to the palm grove of Skoura where you will visit its famous Kasbah Amerhidil and take a walk in its beautiful Oasis accompanied by a villager who takes you between its palm trees and makes you discover life Berbers from this Atlas region. He will talk to you about their ways of life, their customs and the nature of the work that is done in the palm grove by making a demonstration... Transfer to Boumalne Dades where you will spend the night in a guest house with dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 2 - 270 km:
On this morning and after breakfast, you take the road of the thousand kasbahs to the famous Dades gorges, then you continue to Tinghir where lunch is provided with the possibility of visiting the majestic Todra gorges.
After lunch, you go directly to the village of Merzouga which you must reach in the end of afternoon. Once you arrive, you will change the bus by 4x4 off-road cars that you will use on the tracks that lead to the bivouac where you spend the night in tents at the foot of the sand dunes.
Once you arrive in Merzouga, and after a few kilometers on the track, you reach the hostel from where you start a 30-minute camel ride. Night in the bivouac in a tent at the foot of the sand dunes.
In the evening, after watching the sunset and after dinner in a tent or under the stars, the Tuaregs from the bivouac will host a little tamtam show around a campfire.
Day 3 - 400 km:
Breakfast will be served after sunrise, then you then take the direction of Erfoud, located 60 km to the north in a region known geologically as the most mysterious region on our planet, according to several international researches and important scientific discoveries, Erfoud is located in the heart of an ancient valley which knew the existence of a marine fauna of the most ferocious dinosaurs and which dates back more than 560 million years.
Today's program is to discover a fossil quarry where you will inspect the traces of these dinosaurs as well as beautiful rock engravings which reveal the presence of man in the Bronze Age in this region, then a workshop for the extraction and polishing of fossils to assist in the different stages of this work.
You continue later to the hotel in Ouarzazate making a stop in the town of Alnif for lunch. Free time and overnight at the hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day 4 - 200 km:
After breakfast, we offer a visit to the famous Ouarzazate Cinema Studios, then you continue to Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou declared as international heritage of humanity by UNESCO to discover it and carry out a guided immersion between its alleys.
Lunch in Ait Ben-Haddou village then drive to Marrakech.
