Imlil, located one hour from Marrakech in the Toubkal National Park, it is a very famous destination for international hikers looking to discover the Atlas trails and its beautiful landscapes, this celebrity is also due to its location on the path leading to Djbel Toubkal. Imlil is an essential step towards the highest peak in North Africa with 4,167m in height.

Day 1:

After leaving Marrakech and once you arrive at the Imlil village, you will meet your guide who will give you a short briefing on the program and the route of the hike around a mint tea, then you start the hike to Tacheddirte village. The latter is located a 5 hour walk in the valley in parallel with the Imlil valley, i.e. you will cross the 2.294 m high Tizi N'Tamatert pass to the other side through Berber villages and crossing the Tacheddirte river… Lunch is planned in the middle of the road in the form of a picnic under the shade of a tree.

Towards the end of the day, you reach the lodge where you spend the night, from the lodge you will have an impressive view of the whole valley and the surrounding mountains.

Night in dormitory beds with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 2:

The next day and after breakfast in the cottage, you start the hike with an itinerary of 6 hours of walking following a path parallel to the Tacheddirt river to the Amssakrou village where we offer you a stop in a Berber house to discover inside and make a tea ceremony which will be served with a traditional snack.

Then you cross a 500m vertical mountain towards the Imlil valley where transport will be waiting for you and will take you to the traditional restaurant offered for lunch on the Imlil river.

Transfer to Marrakech at the end of the afternoon.

For people who want to enjoy this hike in a different way or don’t have the ability to do the entire route on foot, we suggest that you provide one or more mules that will accompany you throughout the hike, they will be at your disposal for you carry or carry your stuffs.

You can include mountain bikes in the program, see options.
