The closest desert to Marrakech is located in the Zagora region next to a huge palm grove, to get there you have to cross the mountains to the other side of the Atlas. An itinerary filled with plenty of panoramic landscapes.

Day 1 - 355 km:

Departure in the morning to the Zagora city, located about 8 hours drive from Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi N'Tichka pass, this one is considered among the highest peaks of this majestic mountain range with 2.260m high. You make a stop in this pass to admire the landscapes of the Atlas then you continue to the Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou which we will visit, it is declared as an international heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

Lunch in Ait Ben-Haddou village, then you continue to the bivouac installed in the Tizi desert, at the end of the paved road you replace the bus with camels to reach the bivouac. Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.

Day 2 - 355 km:

Departure from the bivouac to Ouarzazate city through the oasis of Ouled Othmane where you take a short walk in its palm grove with the possibility of visiting an authentic kasbah still inhabited.

Lunch is planned in Ouarzazate with a visit to the Ouarzazate famous cinema studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt. It is a 17th century kasbah built in the form of a labyrinth to protect the Pasha and the caravans passing through Ouarzazate.

After the visits we continue to Marrakech where the circuit comes to end.

This circuit is proposed with drivers speaking different languages (French or Spanish or English), you can choose the desired language when confirming your reservation. To improve the content of this circuit, a guide is strongly recommended who will give you more explanations and information and will lead you to the different sites that you are going to visit except in the cinema studio where the visits are made with a guide from the studio against a tip.

First day options

Ait Ben Haddou lunch

During the excursion to Ouarzazate, we propose you a lunch in a restaurant in Ait Ben Haddou village with a panoramic view of the kasbah. The menu consists of a Moroccan salad + meat kebabs + vegetable tagine + cinnamon orange, drinks are not included.

Horse ride

For lovers of equestrian sport, we suggest you change the dromedary ride with a one hour horseback ride in the Zagora desert. Please select the number of people who want to do this activity.

Quad ride

For those looking for high adrenaline, we suggest you replace the dromedary ride with a one-hour quad bike ride in the Zagora desert. Please select the number of people who want to do this activity.

Quad passenger

For those who want to share a quad for two or for children who can not drive a quad and want to ride behind adults, this option allows you to provide you with a two-seater quad with the insurance of the second person included. Please select this option and enter the number of quads that you want to share.

Second day options

Lunch in Ouarzazate

During your passage through Ouarzazate, we propose you lunch in a recognized restaurant in the city. The menu consists of a Moroccan salad + Chicken Tagine with candied lemon + fruit salad, drinks are not included.

Full board supplement
